God only knows

he knows how

he knows why

 

but he'll never tell

he is a secret person

which no one knows

who he is or where

he came from

 

For I fear to ask

for he is a secret person

to ask is like jumping on

nails, to all it's dangerous,

but some like the challenge

 

will he think less of me

will he think more of me

 

will he tell on his own

I don't think so

for he is a secret person

 

maybe some day I'll ask

and maybe some day he'll die,

things are always difficult

for those who seek them

 

Is he going to stay a secret 

person, only time will tell

 

how a person so 

great won't say a word

not a syllable, not a vowel
